i) Stand Alone(SA.),which means it can protect against the III/IV rating threat without any extra soft armor ballistic panels / inserts (standard)
ii) the plates should be used in conjuction with (ICW.) IIIA or lower threat level soft armor panel to protect against the III/IV rating threat (optional)
